I would never say that to her face though. I have to admit, her natural racing skills are really impressive and extremely difficult to surpass. Even without her glitch, she is still the best racer in the game. I've actually been able to beat her very few times because of this, but not often. The vanilla-themed racer also refrained from using her glitch in Roster Races to make the competition more fair. Before the reset, Candlehead, Rancis and I were usually in the top 3, but when Vanellope returned to racing, she took my first place position, therefore, causing Candlehead to be pushed out of the trio. The race ended with Vanellope in first place, as usual, me in second, and Rancis in third. Vanellope was about to say something else, but the start of the countdown interrupted her. I tried my best to hide my emotions while avoiding her eyes. "Hey." she said as her tone got more serious and concerned. "I guess, whatever." I said while looking down at my pedals. I looked at her bluntly for a while, without returning the attitude. "Think you got a chance to kick my butt today?" A face she would always give me before the start of any race. My head slowly turned to her and I was greeted by her usual mischievous smirk. "Woah someone's looking determined!" said the president. Suddenly, a familiar voice interrupted my thoughts. "You moved on Taffyta," I said softly to myself. Thinking about it caused my hands to grip tighter onto the steering wheel. She was always so happy when she saw them, and that really irritated me. I quickly turned to my left and saw Vanellope, honking her horn while waving at her friends with a big smile. However, out of the blue, the sound of a kart's horn startled me. While the marshmallows were sweeping the starting line and checking the Jumbotron, I began to focus and get myself into the zone. 'Why are they ALWAYS here?' I thought to myself. The racers and I were preparing for another Random Roster race and as usual, Ralph, along with Vanellope's other outside friends, were sitting in the stands cheering her on. It did not take too long for the next day to arrive.
